Regardstone Terms of Service

Effective date: October 2, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Regardstone, LLC ("Regardstone", "we", "us"), the operator of regardstone.com. They cover your use of the site and of any card you send or receive through it. Please read them. By sending a card or otherwise using Regardstone, you agree to these terms, to our Privacy Policy, and to our Refund Policy.

1. What Regardstone is

Regardstone lets you send someone an illustrated gemstone card with a short personal note. You pick a card, enter your name and email, the recipient's name and email address, and your note, and pay if the card has a price. We then email the recipient a link to a private page on regardstone.com that shows the card, your name, and your note.

  • Cards are digital. Nothing physical is shipped.
  • Delivery is by email. We may add other delivery methods later, such as text message. If we do, these terms apply to them too, and we'll update any terms specific to that method.
  • United States only. Regardstone is offered to senders and recipients in the United States.
  • No accounts. There are no sign-ups and no passwords. Your receipt and the private links are how you get back to a card.

2. Who can use Regardstone

  • You must be at least 13 to use Regardstone.
  • To buy a card you must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live), or have a parent or guardian's permission to make the purchase.
  • Recipients can be any age. If you send a card to someone under 13, you must be their parent or guardian, or have their parent or guardian's permission.

3. Prices and payment

  • Cards cost the price shown on the card's page and at the review step, in US dollars. Today that is $1.99 per card.
  • Payment is handled by Stripe through Stripe Checkout. We never see or store your full card number. Stripe's own terms apply to the payment.
  • We don't currently charge sales tax.
  • The price you pay is the price shown when you confirm the send. Later price changes don't affect cards you've already sent.
  • Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy. In short, if your card can't be delivered, you won't be charged.

4. Sending a card: your promises to us

A card is a message from you, delivered by us, to someone who didn't sign up for anything. So when you send one, you promise that:

  1. The recipient would welcome it. You know the person and have good reason to believe they're happy to hear from you. The checkbox at the review step is you confirming this.
  2. The address is theirs. The email address you enter belongs to the person you named.
  3. The names are honest. The sender name is yours (a nickname or "your friend" is fine), and you aren't pretending to be someone else.
  4. Your note follows the rules in section 5. You are responsible for what you write.
  5. Your email is yours. We send your receipt to the email you give us.

5. What you may not do

Don't use Regardstone to:

  • harass, threaten, bully, stalk, or intimidate anyone, or to contact someone who has asked you not to contact them, or whom a court order bars you from contacting;
  • send hateful, sexually explicit, or violent content, or anything sexual involving a minor;
  • send spam, advertising, chain letters, or messages to people you don't know;
  • send links or text meant to deceive, phish, or spread malware;
  • pretend to be another person or organization;
  • send in bulk or with automated tools, or get around our rate limits, CAPTCHA, or other protections;
  • break the law or infringe anyone else's rights; or
  • interfere with the site, probe it for weaknesses without permission, or scrape it.

What we can do about it. We may refuse to send a card, disable a card's page, block an email address from sending or receiving cards, or stop anyone from using Regardstone. We may do this without notice when we reasonably believe these terms have been broken or someone is at risk. Cards removed for breaking these rules are not refunded. We don't read every note before it goes out and we don't promise to catch every misuse, but we act on reports.

Report a card. If you received a card you think breaks these rules, or you don't want cards from Regardstone, use the link in the email or on the card page, or write to hello@regardstone.com.

6. Receiving a card

  • You didn't need to sign up for anything, and receiving a card doesn't sign you up for anything. We won't send you marketing.
  • The card page is private: only someone with the link can see it. It is not protected by a password, though, so anyone you forward the link to can see it too.
  • Card pages stay available for a limited time. See our Privacy Policy for how long. Save the images if you want to keep them.
  • You can ask us to stop sending you cards, or to delete a card sent to you, at any time. See our Privacy Policy.

7. The card artwork and our content

  • The card designs, illustrations, card text, and the site itself belong to Regardstone or its licensors, to the extent they are protected by copyright or other law.
  • Senders and recipients may view, save, print, and share a card they sent or received, for personal, non-commercial purposes. We don't try to stop anyone saving, forwarding, or screenshotting a card.
  • You may not sell the cards or artwork, use them in products or advertising, use the Regardstone name or logo, or copy the collection. You also may not use the artwork to train AI models.

8. Your note

Your note stays yours. By sending it, you give us permission to store it, show it on the card page, and keep it for the periods in our Privacy Policy, all only so we can deliver your card, handle support and refunds, and prevent abuse. We don't use notes for marketing, and we don't publish them anywhere else.

9. About the gemstone associations

The meanings, uses, and "supports" printed on each card describe traditional and folk associations that people have linked with these stones. They are offered for reflection and enjoyment.

  • They are not medical, psychological, financial, or other professional advice.
  • No stone or card diagnoses, treats, cures, or prevents any condition, or replaces care from a qualified professional.
  • We don't promise any emotional, spiritual, financial, or relationship outcome.

10. Disclaimers

We work hard to keep Regardstone running and to deliver every card, but it is provided "as is" and "as available." Email is not perfectly reliable. A card can land in spam, be blocked by the recipient's email provider, or be delayed, and some of that is outside our control. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Some states don't allow these disclaimers, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows:

  • we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill; and
  • our total liability for any claim relating to Regardstone is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

These limits don't apply where the law doesn't allow them, for example to liability for our own gross negligence or intentional misconduct in states that don't permit limiting it.

12. Your responsibility for misuse

If you break these terms or the law in using Regardstone, for example by sending a harassing note, you agree to cover the reasonable costs and claims that result for us, including reasonable legal fees.

13. Disputes

Talk to us first. If you have a problem, email hello@regardstone.com and describe it. Most issues, especially about a $1.99 card, can be sorted out quickly. You and we each agree to try to resolve a dispute informally for at least 30 days before starting a formal proceeding.

Where disputes go. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Either of us may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. Any other claim will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Sacramento County, California, and both of us consent to those courts.

14. Changes

We may update these terms as Regardstone changes, for example if we add text-message delivery. We'll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we'll give notice on the site before it takes effect. Changes don't apply to cards already sent, or to disputes that arose before the change. If you keep using Regardstone after a change takes effect, you accept the updated terms.

15. Ending use

You can stop using Regardstone at any time. We may suspend or end access as described in section 5, or discontinue Regardstone. If we shut down, we'll give reasonable notice where we can, and card pages will stop working. Sections 7 through 13 continue to apply after use ends.

16. The legal bits

  • Electronic communications. You agree that we can send receipts and notices by email, and that they count as "in writing."
  • Entire agreement. These terms, the Privacy Policy, and the Refund Policy are the whole agreement between us about Regardstone.
  • Severability. If a court finds part of these terms unenforceable, the rest still applies.
  • No waiver. If we don't enforce a term right away, we can still enforce it later.
  • Assignment. You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of the business.
